I got on the train
Wanted to get away
Yes I thought surly
I could go somewhere
Didn't mind the gap
I've never minded the gap
I could've but I didn't
When I boarded the train
I fell asleep on the train
Dreamed about surrounding by rain
Saw you were there and I thought
I must've woken up in wonderland
'Mind the gap!'
You told me to mind the gap
But I did not care
I ran to you straight away
I didn't mind the gap
And it went dark again
As dark as the mare
I felt all the ups and downs
Before and after the crash
The warnings did not work
The rain smelt like blood
So, I was in the gap
Suddenly I realised that
Where was the train heading to?
When did it rain?
Who cares, anyway, I was in the gap
From the beginning to the end
I'd been in the gap
